Katie Buckman is a PhD student using GPS radiocollars to study bobcat demographics (survival/mortality and reproduction) in north-central Illinois. She is co-advised with Dr. Clayton Nielsen in the Forestry Program. For her Master’s thesis, she studied bobcat spatial ecology and use of tree islands in the Florida Everglades. Her hobbies include hiking, cooking, gardening, and caring for many pets!
